Easy Peasy - Peanut Butter Cookies

Homemade Peanut Butter Cookies...easy as 1, 2, 3!

You'll need:
-1 cup of peanut butter (Any kind will do.)
-1 cup of granulated sugar
-1 large egg
-Cookie Sheet

1) Preheat oven at 350° F.

2) Mix the sugar and the egg together, then add the peanut butter.

3) Now form the mixture into 1 inch balls, placing them about an inch apart on the cooking sheet, press with them lightly with a fork and place them in the oven for 10-15 minutes.

Makes a dozen or so.

**Tips**
-Before pressing them with a fork, dip it in sugar so it won't stick.
-I also like spraying the cookie sheet with cooking spray, just to make sure the cookies don't stick.

Be sure to let them cool, we don't want anyone getting burnt!

Thinking about Christmas already!

July 9th and I'm thinking about Christmas already. Even though Christmas is a hectic, crazy time of year, I honestly cannot wait! There's quite a few things that I'm wanting to crochet for people, so I think I'm going to go ahead and get started. I have several ideas and I may actually need help with some of them, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it. As for now, I'm going to work on the 3 hats i know I'll be making for my niece and nephews. I'll also be making 2 cowls, a hat for my boyfriend, and a sock monkey hat for sure. There's also some other crafty gifts I'll be making, I want to make a  couple bracelets like this one for my aunt and best friend, and I plan on making some necklaces for some of the ladies in my humongous family. Oh, the fun! I can't seriously can NOT wait. ^_^

Hoot! Little Owl Applique

I was messing around with some scrap yarns earlier and came up with this cute little guy, I don't have a pattern because I kind of just made it up as I went along, but I will definitely come up with one if anyone's interested! He also has two little dark purple hearts to match. :)
I haven't quite decided what I'm going to do with them, maybe sew them onto a baby's onesie or something. Ideas are very welcomed!

Cute Little Heart Pattern :)

This is a step by step tutorial for this cute little heart, enjoy!

You'll need:
-Yarn (I used Caron Simply Soft)
-Crochet Hook (I used a size: H/8-5.0 MM)
- And a few extra minutes! :)

Abbreviations:
-CH: Chain
-SS: Slip Stitch
-DC: Double Crochet
-TC: Treble/Triple Crochet

Step 1: Chain 4

Step 2: Do 3 TC in the first chain stitch made.

Step 3: Do 3 DC, still working in the first chain stitch.

Step 4: Chain 1, do 1 TC, Chain 1. This will make the point of your heart.

Step 5: Do 3 DC.

Step 6: Do 3 TC, Chain 3.

Step 7: Join with a SS in the first chain (middle of your heart).

Step 8: You're finished! :D

I hope you enjoy this quick, easy, adorable heart.

The Pink and Purple Blues

I've made a couple of hats for my aunt, she's expecting a little girl in September and I thought they would make a great baby shower gift. They're not perfect but that's what makes them unique.

The pink one is a pattern that I found, fell in love with and altered a bit. The original is here. The purple one is a very basic pattern, the heart applique is very basic as well. If you would like the patterns for the purple hat and little heart applique, just let me know. :)

I plan on making a few more things, I just haven't decided what they are or where to even start...any ideas?

Crocheted Christmas Gifts, Well Gift...

Okay, so I lied...I said pictures, when in all reality I could only find a picture of one of the items I made. Odd, I know I took pictures of both? Oh well, here's a picture of the purse/clutch that I made for a family friend, Delores. I had made a similar one for her daughter, my sister-in-law and she absolutely adored it, so I made her one. I personally like this one better, it's all single crochet with some darning involved and only took me 3 hours, at the most. She loves camouflage, the color pink and bows...what's not love? She fell in complete love when she opened it and the smile on her face told me that I did an awesome job! Best gift I have given by far. :) Comments and questions are very welcomed.

Long Time, No See

Good Morning All. I realize how long it's been since I have blogged and honestly, I have no clue why. I have been through A LOT since November; A bad break up, horrible news and a death in the family. So, as you can tell I didn't start the new year off so great...hopefully, it will get better in time. Being that I haven't been on here I would like to say, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I had an amazing Christmas, thanks to my amazing family and friends and I do have some resolutions that I am now working on and I will list them below, they have me super busy but it is well worth it. I haven't crocheted anything recently but I did crochet a couple of Christmas gifts for my family and I will put those pictures up in another blog. Now, let's get to my resolutions. :)

2012 Resolutions
1. Go to Beauty School
2. Find a Part-Time Job
3. Find myself an apartment
4. Quit smoking
5. Lose some weight, not much

That pretty much sums it all up, I just want to get my life on track. They're in no specific order and so far the hardest is finding a job. That's all for now, I hope you have an eventful, awesome day.
